Program description
Child & Jackson offers a text-messaging (SMS/MMS) service to communicate with our existing clients about their active legal matters. Messages relate to your case and may include case status updates, appointment and deadline reminders, requests for documents or signatures, and acknowledgments when you send us a photo or document. This is a service (transactional/conversational) program, not a marketing program.
How to opt in
Clients provide express consent to receive text messages at the time they retain the firm, through the SMS-consent section of our engagement (retainer) agreement and intake form. We do not add anyone to text messaging from a public web form or a purchased list. You may also begin texting our office directly at the number we provide to you.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on the activity in your case. You will only receive messages relevant to your matter.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Child & Jackson does not charge for the messages themselves; your mobile carrier may charge you according to your plan.

How to opt out
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending SMS messages. You may still communicate with the firm by phone, email, or mail. To rejoin, reply START or contact our office.
Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. See our SMS Privacy Policy for how we handle information in connection with this program. We do not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
